2017
A Moment of Care, A Future of Change
The story of HOVERFLY began in 2017, with the personal experience of our founder, Logan. At that time, Logan had joined Gotrax as a product development manager, and his professional life left him with little time to spend with his family. However, a life-changing event occurred when one of his elderly relatives became bedridden due to health problems. This experience forced Logan to take on the responsibility of caregiving and providing companionship.
During this time, Logan saw firsthand the immense challenges faced by elderly people and those with limited mobility in their daily lives. Even simple tasks like going outside became difficult and overwhelming. This led him to ask, “Is it possible to create a mobility solution that is safe, comfortable, and allows these individuals to regain their independence and freedom to move?” With love and care at the heart of his vision, Logan began to develop the idea for a mobility solution tailored specifically for elderly individuals, the obese, and those with limited mobility. This marked the beginning of HOVERFLY, a brand dedicated to providing accessible and affordable transportation for people with special needs. As a sub-brand of Gotrax, HOVERFLY inherited the advanced technology and innovative spirit of its parent company while focusing on creating cost-effective, safe, and comfortable solutions for people with specific mobility challenges.
2019
Deep Dive into the Market, Understanding User Needs
In the early stages of HOVERFLY’s development, Logan and the team didn’t rush to launch a product. Instead, they spent considerable time and effort conducting market research, speaking directly with elderly individuals, people with obesity, and those with limited mobility. Through these personal interactions, they realized that existing mobility products on the market didn’t adequately address the specific needs of these groups, especially when it came to comfort, stability, ease of use, and design.
These valuable insights helped the HOVERFLY team refine the direction of the product. The goal was clear: to not only solve mobility challenges but also enhance the quality of life for users. The team set out to design a product that was comfortable, easy to operate, and safe, empowering users to be more independent and enjoy a better quality of life.
2023
The Launch of T4 and T5, Bringing Change
After years of market research and product development, HOVERFLY launched two groundbreaking products in 2023— the T4 and T5 electric four-wheel mobility scooters. These two models were specifically designed for elderly people, those with obesity, and individuals with limited mobility, combining high performance, long battery life, comfort, and ease of use. The T4 features a rotating seat, making it easier for users to get in and out of the scooter, while the T5 offers enhanced battery life and greater stability, perfect for longer trips. Both models were designed with attention to every detail, from seat comfort and battery life to vehicle stability and safety features, ensuring they meet the highest standards of user needs.
