Welcome to Symbiota. As a psychology master’s student, I became deeply interested in the close connection between gut health, physical health, and mental wellbeing.
Fermentation itself was not new to me. Growing up in a rural environment where preserving food was the norm, I developed an early appreciation for traditional food practices. Alongside this, I volunteered extensively in emergency services and mental health facilities, which strengthened my passion for helping people. Symbiota became a natural extension of this - a way to support people in using fermented foods to enhance their health and reconnect with their ideal self.
Symbiota offers the opportunity to reconnect with traditional fermentation knowledge, to live more symbiotically with food and nature, and to enjoy quality time with family through the art of fermentation; sharing your creations with those around you.
I noticed recurring challenges people were facing with fermentation products. In response, I set out to meet these needs by creating beautifully designed, easy-to-use products that prioritize both safety and simplicity.
